Hadrosaurus, a daring hadrosaurid ornithopod, roamed North America during the Late Cretaceous Period, roughly 80 to 78 million years ago. These hefty dinosaurs weighed between 2 and 4 tons and moved mainly on all fours, relying on powerful hind legs for support. But when needed, they could boldly rise on their back legs to grab higher foliage or sprint away from danger on just their hind limbs. With a jaw full of up to 1,400 complex teeth, Hadrosaurus was well-equipped to feast. Their forelimbs, though less robust, were long enough to assist in standing and movement, resembling those of Kritosaurus or later hadrosaurids like Edmontosaurus.
