Ghost Quartz Collection
Ghost or Phantom Quartz is formed when a layer of chlorite is deposited during the early stages of the clear quartz crystal's growth cycle. As the crystal continues to grow above the inclusion, a unique effect arises in that a colored form can appear within the clear crystal above the deposit. Take your time to view many images of each one to get a true feel for the unique individual specimen. The hardness of Quartz is 7, while the Chlorite deposit has a hardness of 2-2.5.
