Ghost or Phantom Quartz forms when a layer of chlorite is deposited during the early stages of a clear quartz crystal’s growth. As the crystal continues to develop above this inclusion, a unique effect appears: a colored “phantom” within the clear quartz, giving each specimen its own distinct character.
