Ghost or Phantom Quartz is created when a layer of chlorite is deposited during the early stages of a clear quartz crystal’s growth. As the crystal continues to develop above this inclusion, a unique colored “phantom” appears within the otherwise clear quartz, giving each specimen its own distinctive appearance.
Quartz is the most widely recognized type of crystal. While many envision clear, pristine quartz, it can also contain inclusions, veils, bubbles, and a variety of colors. These variations do not diminish the crystal’s energetic properties—Quartz remains highly valued for its ability to amplify subtle energies.
