Septarian Dragon Stone:

Septarian is a rare and distinctive mineral found in only a few regions worldwide. In the United States, it occurs near Zion National Park in Southern Utah, with additional deposits located in Madagascar’s Mahajanga area and Morocco. These stones originated on ancient seabeds during the Cretaceous Period, dating back 50 to 70 million years. Initially, septarians were easily retrieved as they emerged from gray or tan clay hills; however, modern extraction requires excavating 20 to 30 feet below the surface with heavy machinery. Each septarian nodule exhibits a unique and varied palette of colors and forms, making them exceptionally intriguing specimens.
