Name: Hadrosaurus

Type: Herbivore

Size: 7 to 8 meters in length

Hadrosaurus was a prominent hadrosaurid dinosaur of the Late Cretaceous in North America, around 80–78 million years ago. This duck-billed herbivorous dinosaur weighed 2–4 tons and primarily walked on all fours but could rise on hind limbs to reach high foliage or flee predators. Its complex dental battery, featuring up to 1,400 teeth, allowed efficient plant processing. With forelimbs supporting movement and foraging, Hadrosaurus shares anatomical similarities with Kritosaurus and Edmontosaurus, highlighting evolutionary adaptations of herbivorous dinosaurs in prehistoric ecosystems.
