Pachycephalosaurus is a now-extinct genus of dome-headed dinosaurs that lived in North America during the late Cretaceous period, around 68 to 65 million years ago. It reached lengths of up to 5 meters (16 feet) and weighed between 370 and 450 kilograms. This bipedal dinosaur had strong hind legs and smaller forelimbs. Its distinctive feature was a thick, bony dome on its skull, measuring up to 25 cm (10 inches), which protected its small brain. With forward-facing eyes, it likely had good depth perception. Its sturdy neck, robust body, long legs, and stiff tail made it a remarkable and resilient ancient creature.
