Cretaceous Age 66-83.5 million years old.

 Name: Triceratops

Type: Herbivore

Size: 8 to 9 meters long.

Triceratops, a herbivorous ceratopsid dinosaur, emerged in the Late Cretaceous period around 68 million years ago, weighing between 5 and 9 metric tons. This large, quadrupedal dinosaur is distinguished by its three prominent facial horns and a bony frill extending from the rear of its skull. Its disproportionately large skull featured a short neck frill, with two substantial horns above the eyes and a smaller nasal horn on the snout. The frill’s edge was adorned with numerous small spikes. Coexisting with Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops was likely a target for this apex predator.
