Name: Centrosaurus

Type: Herbivore

Size: 6 meters long.

Centrosaurus was a large, herbivorous dinosaur that lived in North America during the Late Cretaceous Period, around 76 to 70 million years ago. This fascinating dinosaur is best known for its single, prominent horn over the nose, which could curve forward or backward depending on the individual.

Centrosaurus had a large, parrotlike, toothless beak covered in a horny sheath, along with toothed jaws powered by strong muscles, perfectly adapted for grazing on tough vegetation. Its teeth were designed for grinding and chewing hardy plant material, making it an efficient herbivore.

The dinosaur’s frill was moderately long, featuring large openings (fenestrae) and small, hornless projections along the edges, giving it a distinctive appearance among ceratopsians.
