Grape Agate is a fairly recent discovery. Though commonly called Grape Agate, this stone is actually Botryoidal Purple Chalcedony from the Manakarra region of Sulawesi Island, Indonesia. Its unique formation resembles a cluster of grapes. The name Manakarra comes from the province in Western Sulawesi where this beautiful mineral is found. It is known for its lovely purple shades, as well as blue and green variations, offering a range of colors to appreciate.
