Name: Carcharodontosaurus
Type: Carnivore
Size: 12 meters in length.
Carcharodontosaurus was a colossal carnivorous dinosaur that prowled the ancient landscapes of Northern Africa during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous period. As one of the largest members of the carcharodontosaurid family, it stood shoulder to shoulder with giants such as Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops, and was only marginally smaller than the immense Giganotosaurus. Stretching up to 12 meters in length, standing roughly 3.5 meters tall at the hips, and weighing close to 7 tonnes, Carcharodontosaurus was built to dominate its environment.
Although its arms appeared small relative to its massive body, they were longer and more powerfully constructed than those of Tyrannosaurus rex, each hand ending in three strong, grasping claws. Its enormous head was armed with more than 60 long, knife-like teeth, some reaching 20 centimeters in length, designed for slicing through flesh with precision. These teeth made it exceptionally effective at capturing and tearing apart prey, including juvenile sauropods and ornithopods.
As an apex predator, Carcharodontosaurus reigned at the top of the food chain, using its immense size, powerful forelimbs, and fearsome dentition to control the ecosystems of Cretaceous Africa.
