Name: Hadrosaurus

Type: Herbivore

Size: 7 to 8 meters in length

Hadrosaurus, a daring genus of hadrosaurid ornithopods, roamed North America during the Late Cretaceous Period, roughly 80 to 78 million years ago. Weighing between 2 and 4 tons, these mostly quadrupedal giants relied on powerful hind legs to support their bulk. They boldly stood on their hind legs to reach high vegetation and could sprint on two legs to elude predators. Their insanely complex jaws housed up to 1,400 teeth, while their forelimbs, though less sturdy, were long enough to aid in mobility. Their limbs echoed the fierce design of Kritosaurus and later hadrosaurids like Edmontosaurus.
