Size: About 9 meters long.
Brachylophosaurus was a bold mid-sized hadrosaur from Montana’s Judith River Formation and Alberta’s Oldman Formation, roaming the Earth about 76.5 million years ago. Stretching at least 9 meters long and tipping the scales at 7 metric tons, it sported a striking flat, paddle-shaped bony crest atop its skull. With unusually long forelimbs and a wider upper jaw beak than its peers, this dinosaur’s cheeks held food firmly in place, while its teeth delivered powerful chewing—an extraordinary adaptation rarely seen in reptiles but mastered by fearless ornithischians like Brachylophosaurus.
