Carcharodontosaurus is a genus of large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous in Northern Africa. Among the largest carcharodontosaurids, it rivaled Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops in size, while being slightly smaller than Giganotosaurus. It measured approximately 12 meters in length, stood about 3.5 meters tall at the hips, and weighed around 7 tonnes. Its arms were relatively short but still longer and robust compared to T. rex, each ending in three claws. The massive skull contained over 60 blade-like teeth, each about 20 cm (8 inches) long, adapted to pierce and shred the flesh of prey, possibly including juvenile sauropods and ornithopods.

Please be aware of the nature of fossils:
Being buried under the ground for millions of years under tons of pressure tends to be rough. No fossil comes out of the ground whole and perfect. Most fossils have undergone some restoration, while others are altered by man simply to enhance their presentation in different ways. The workers in Morocco do a very professional job of unearthing and preserving these natural treasures. These are part of the natural beauty of the fossil and are not considered defects.
