Size: 5 meters in length.

Pachycephalosaurus is a genus of pachycephalosaurid dinosaurs that lived in North America during the late Cretaceous period, approximately 68 to 65 million years ago. Measuring around 5 meters (16 feet) in length and weighing between 370 and 450 kilograms, it was a bipedal dinosaur with powerful hind limbs and comparatively smaller forelimbs. Noted for its distinctive thick, domed skull—up to 25 cm (10 inches) thick—this feature likely served to protect its relatively small brain. Its skull shape, including large, forward-facing eye sockets, suggests well-developed binocular vision. The animal had a short neck, a robust body, long hind legs, and a stiffened tail supported by ossified tendons. It represents the largest known dinosaur with a dome-shaped skull.
