Name: Brachylophosaurus (Short crested lizard).

Diet: Herbivore.

Size: About 9 meters long.

Time period: Cretaceous Age, 76 Million Years Old

Brachylophosaurus was a medium-sized herbivorous dinosaur belonging to the hadrosaur family. It is known from multiple skeletons and bonebed remains found in the Judith River Formation of Montana and the Oldman Formation of Alberta, dating back approximately 76.5 million years. This dinosaur featured a bony crest, a flat, paddle-like plate atop the skull. Some individuals had crests that nearly covered the entire skull roof, while others had shorter, narrower crests. Notable features include its unusually long forelimbs and an upper jaw beak wider than that of other contemporary hadrosaurs. Overall, Brachylophosaurus was a typical hadrosaur, reaching about 9 meters (30 feet) in length when fully grown. Like other hadrosaurs, it had cheeks to hold food in the mouth while chewing with hundreds of tightly fitting teeth. These teeth allowed for efficient chewing, a feature rare among reptiles but common among Ornithischia like Brachylophosaurus.
