Triceratops is a herbivorous ceratopsid dinosaur genus that first appeared around 68 million years ago in the Late Cretaceous. It weighed between 5 and 9 metric tons. These large, four-legged dinosaurs feature three prominent horns and a bony frill at the back of their skull. The skull is notably large relative to their body, with a short neck frill extending upward from the back and three horns. The two horns above the eyes are the largest, while the nasal horn on the snout is smaller. Additionally, they have numerous small spikes along the edges of the expanded frill. Triceratops shared its habitat with Tyrannosaurus Rex, which likely preyed upon it.
