Lived around the Late Jurassic Period, about 155 million years ago.
Name: Camarasaurus
Diet: Herbivore
Size: 18 meters in length
Camarasaurus lived during the Late Jurassic Period, approximately 145 to 155 million years ago. Measuring up to 18 meters long, it was smaller than some other sauropods like diplodocids and brachiosaurs. This herbivore weighed around 25 tons and featured a robust build with strong legs, neck, tail, and a rounded head. Its teeth resembled large chisels, perfect for cutting plant material. Although Allosaurus was a known predator, adult Camarasaurus were rarely targeted due to their size. They are identified by their shorter necks and tails, snub-nosed skulls, large spoon-shaped teeth, and nostrils located in front of the eyes.
