Septarian Dragon Stone:
Septarian is a unique stone found in only a few locations worldwide. In the USA, septarians are primarily found near Zion National Park in Southern Utah. They are also sourced from Mahajanga in Madagascar and Morocco. These stones formed on ancient seafloors during the Cretaceous Period (50–70 million years ago). Originally, septarian nodules could be collected directly from the surface as they weathered out of gray or tan clay hills. Today, excavation typically requires bulldozers, as the nodules are usually buried 20–30 feet underground. Septarians are visually striking, with unique shapes and varying colors that make each specimen one of a kind.
