Cretaceous Age, 100 Million Years Old.

This highly detailed fish fossil from Morocco features visible scales, mouthparts, and fins emerging from the matrix. The exact species remains unidentified, with further research needed for proper classification. It is possibly Goulmimichthys arambourgi Cavin, 1995, characterized by a spindle-shaped body, a widely split mouth, and numerous small, spiny, slightly curved teeth. Some specimens also exhibit an elongated structure along the body’s long axis beneath the vertebral column, along with preserved soft tissues.
