Crystallizing in the cubic system, Purple Fluorite commonly presents as octahedral or cubic structures. Its striking coloration stems from manganese impurities. Exhibiting a glassy luster and a Mohs hardness of 4, it cleaves perfectly along octahedral planes, breaking into smooth, flat surfaces.
