Carcharodontosaurus represents a genus of sizable theropod dinosaurs that inhabited Northern Africa during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous. As one of the largest members of the Carcharadontosauridae family, it was comparable in scale to Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops, yet marginally smaller than Giganotosaurus. Individuals reached lengths of approximately 12 meters, stood about 3.5 meters high at the hips, and weighed nearly 7 tonnes. Its forelimbs, though relatively short, exceeded those of Tyrannosaurus rex in length and strength, terminating in three formidable claws. The species possessed a large cranium equipped with over 60 blade-shaped teeth, each measuring roughly 20 cm, specialized for slicing and tearing flesh. Its diet likely included juveniles of sauropods and ornithopods.
