Triceratops is a herbivorous ceratopsid dinosaur genus that lived during the Late Cretaceous, around 68 million years ago, weighing between 5 and 9 metric tons. This large, four-legged dinosaur featured a massive skull with a short, elevated neck frill and three distinct horns: two large ones above the eyes and a smaller nasal horn on the snout. Its frill was edged with multiple small spikes, enhancing its distinctive appearance. Triceratops coexisted with predators like Tyrannosaurus Rex, sharing its prehistoric environment.
