Size: 5 meters in length.

Pachycephalosaurus represents a genus of extinct pachycephalosaurid dinosaurs that thrived in what is now North America during the late Cretaceous period, approximately 68 to 65 million years ago. This species reached lengths of up to 5 meters (16 feet) and weighed between 370 and 450 kilograms. Characterized by its robust bipedal stance, it possessed powerful hind limbs contrasted with comparatively diminutive forelimbs. Its most distinguished feature is the formidable cranial dome, measuring up to 25 cm (10 inches) thick, which protected its modestly sized brain. The short skull housed large, forward-facing orbits, indicative of advanced binocular vision. Morphologically, it likely exhibited a stout neck, a substantial body, elongated hind legs, and a rigid tail reinforced by ossified tendons, establishing it as the largest known dome-skulled dinosaur.
