Carcharodontosaurus is a genus of large theropod dinosaur that lived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous period in Northern Africa. Among the largest carcharodontosaurids, it was comparable in size to Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops, though slightly smaller than Giganotosaurus. It reached lengths of approximately 12 meters, stood around 3.5 meters tall at the hips, and weighed close to 7 tonnes. Its forelimbs, while relatively short, were longer and robust compared to those of T. rex, each bearing three claws. The species possessed a large skull equipped with over 60 blade-like teeth, roughly 20 cm (8 inches) long, adapted to efficiently slice through the flesh of prey such as juvenile sauropods and ornithopods.

Please be aware of the nature of fossils:
Being buried under the ground for millions of years under tons of pressure tends to be rough. No fossil comes out of the ground whole and perfect. Most fossils have undergone some restoration, while others are altered by man simply to enhance their presentation in different ways. The workers in Morocco do a very professional job of unearthing and preserving these natural treasures. These are part of the natural beauty of the fossil and are not considered defects.
