This is a real Gastrolith.

Gastrolith stones found in the Cloverly Formation are actually Polished stomach stones from large dinosaurs!  They are very beautiful and come from Sauropod Dinosaurs like Titanosaurs.  They are also called Gastroliths. Found only in a few locations in Southern Montana.

Geologists generally require several lines of evidence before confirming that a rock was used by a dinosaur to aid in digestion. First, the stone must differ from the surrounding geological material, indicating it was not naturally found in that location. Second, it should be rounded and polished, as stones inside a dinosaur’s gizzard would have been smoothed through friction with other stones and fibrous materials—much like the action of a rock tumbler. Finally, the stone must be discovered in association with the dinosaur’s fossilized remains. This last requirement often presents the greatest challenge, since smooth stones found without such context can easily be mistaken for those polished naturally by water or wind.
