Name: Triceratops

Type: Herbivore

Size: 8 to 9 meters long.

Triceratops, an herbivorous ceratopsid dinosaur, emerged in the Late Cretaceous period around 68 million years ago, weighing between 5 and 9 metric tons. This large, four-legged dinosaur featured a distinctive short neck frill at the back of its skull and three prominent horns—the two above the eyes being the largest, with a smaller nasal horn on the snout. Its expanded frill was edged with numerous small spikes. Triceratops coexisted with, and likely fell prey to, the formidable Tyrannosaurus Rex.
