Suchomimus represents a genus of sizable theropod dinosaurs that inhabited the Earth during the Early Cretaceous period, roughly 112 to 93.5 million years ago. It is classified within the Spinosauridae family, which also encompasses notable genera such as Spinosaurus and Baryonyx. This genus was initially identified through discoveries in the Republic of Niger.

One of the most distinctive features of Suchomimus is its long, narrow snout filled with numerous sharp teeth. These teeth were adapted for catching and holding onto slippery prey, indicating that Suchomimus was likely a piscivorous dinosaur, primarily feeding on fish. The teeth of Suchomimus are conical in shape and slightly recurved, meaning they curve backward slightly.

The teeth of Suchomimus have been extensively studied by paleontologists to understand its feeding habits and ecology. The tooth morphology provides valuable insights into the diet and lifestyle of this dinosaur. The teeth are typically around 10 centimeters (4 inches) long and are serrated along the edges, which would have aided in gripping slippery prey.
