Name: Carcharodontosaurus
Type: Carnivore
Size: 12 meters in length.
Carcharodontosaurus was a giant theropod dinosaur from the Late Cretaceous Cenomanian age in Northern Africa. Among the largest of its kind, it matched the size of Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops but was slightly smaller than Giganotosaurus. This predator measured about 12 meters long, stood 3.5 meters tall at the hips, and weighed nearly 7 tonnes. Its arms, though shorter than many, were still longer and stronger than T. rex’s, ending in deadly three-clawed hands. Its massive head is packed with over 60 razor-sharp, 20 cm blade-like teeth, perfectly built to rip into the flesh of prey like young sauropods and ornithopods.

Please be aware of the nature of fossils:
Being buried under the ground for millions of years under tons of pressure tends to be rough. No fossil comes out of the ground whole and perfect. Most fossils have undergone some restoration, while others are altered by man simply to enhance their presentation in different ways. The workers in Morocco do a very professional job of unearthing and preserving these natural treasures. These are part of the natural beauty of the fossil and are not considered defects.
