Name: Carcharodontosaurus
Type: Carnivore
Size: 12 meters in length.
Carcharodontosaurus, a formidable genus of large theropod dinosaurs, thrived during the Cenomanian stage of the Late Cretaceous in Northern Africa. Ranking among the largest Carcharadontosaurids, it rivaled Tyrannotitan and Sauroniops in scale, though it was marginally smaller than Giganotosaurus. This predator reached lengths of approximately 12 meters, stood about 3.5 meters tall at the hips, and weighed close to 7 tonnes. Its relatively short yet robust arms, longer than those of T. rex, bore three formidable claws each. The dinosaur possessed a substantial skull housing over 60 blade-like teeth measuring around 20 cm, perfectly evolved to impale and shred the flesh of prey, likely including juvenile sauropods and ornithopods.
