Size: 7 to 8 meters in length.

Hadrosaurus represents a genus within the hadrosaurid ornithopods that inhabited North America during the Late Cretaceous, approximately 80 to 78 million years ago. These dinosaurs had an estimated mass between 2 and 4 tons and predominantly adopted a quadrupedal stance, with their robust hind limbs bearing the majority of their weight. Nonetheless, they retained the ability to rear bipedally to access elevated vegetation and could achieve cursorial locomotion on their hind limbs when evading predators. Their dentition was notably complex, comprising up to 1,400 teeth. The forelimbs were comparatively gracile relative to the hindlimbs but sufficiently elongated to assist in both support and mobility. Morphologically, Hadrosaurus bore a strong resemblance to contemporaneous genera like Kritosaurus and to more derived hadrosaurids such as Edmontosaurus.
