Megaloolithus refers to fossilized eggs attributed to a medium-sized titanosaur that lived in what is now Western Europe near the end of the Cretaceous period. These eggs are generally spherical and measure around thirty centimeters in diameter. However, variations in eggshell size and structure have led researchers to suggest that the eggs may not all have belonged to the same species. Another theory proposes that the dinosaurs laying them may have suffered from dietary deficiencies, resulting in reduced calcium and other nutrients needed for proper eggshell development.
