Albertaceratops is a genus of herbivorous ceratopsian dinosaur that lived during the Late Cretaceous period, approximately 76.5 to 75 million years ago. The name Albertaceratops is derived from "Alberta," the Canadian province where its fossils were discovered, and "ceratops," meaning "horned face" in Greek. The species name, Albertaceratops nesmoi, honors Cecil Nesmo, a rancher who first discovered the fossil remains in 2001.

Albertaceratops is known from a partial skull and postcranial elements, providing valuable insights into the anatomy and evolutionary history of ceratopsians. The skull of Albertaceratops is characterized by a short frill with large fenestrae (openings), a prominent nasal horn, and small brow horns. Its teeth were adapted for grinding plant material, indicating a herbivorous diet.

The Judith River Formation in Wyoming is one of the main geological formations where Albertaceratops fossils have been found.
