Tyrannosaurus Rex, also called T. Rex or T-Rex, is one of the most famous dinosaurs in paleontology. Living roughly 65 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous, T. Rex was a massive carnivorous theropod with a strong skull, serrated teeth, and powerful jaws capable of consuming large prey, including hadrosaurs and ceratopsians.
T. Rex measured up to 13 meters in length, with strong legs enabling fast bursts of movement and a heavy tail for balance. Short but strong forelimbs ended in sharp claws. Exhibits of T. Rex skeletons highlight these adaptations, demonstrating its role as the ultimate apex predator of its ecosystem. Fossils of T. Rex continue to educate millions about predator-prey dynamics, anatomy, and evolutionary success in the Late Cretaceous.
